Behavioral Health Services at the Pride Center of Staten Island provide a supportive and confidential setting for the emotional, psychological, and social needs of the LGBTQIA+ community and their families across the lifespan. All Behavioral Health Services are FREE, confidential, and tailored to the individual. LGBTQIA+ individuals, couples, and families qualify for services. Services include:
Short-term individual, couples, or family counseling
Support groups based on identity and/or clinical goal
LGBTQIA+-affirming mental health resources

The goals of the behavioral health services program are:
Promote the mental and emotional well-being of the LGBTQIA+ community and their allies.
Enhance client’s functioning and personal wellbeing.
Provide a warm, empathetic, and judgment-free space for clients.
Assist clients with connecting to the appropriate level of care necessary.
The behavioral health services department is not a treatment facility. We do not provide psychiatric evaluations or provide formal diagnoses.

The process from start to finish:
Submit counseling interest form.
Complete Mental Health assessment and I&R form with clinical staff.
Complete intake packet with clinical staff.
Sign and return counseling forms.
Case is assigned to a clinician.
